One of the first years I attended the Homeschool Mom’s Winter Summit, I heard this statement:
Homeschooling is sanctification on steroids. ~Roxanne Parks
I loved the statement then and now, several years and many challenges later, I understand it so much more. God desires a close relationship with us and desires to see us become more like him. One way he does that is by allowing us to face situations that break us down, help us realize that we need him, and build our faith in him.
Parenting is challenging. Add being with your children 24/7 and it takes parenting to a whole new level. I wouldn’t trade homeschooling for the world. I believe it is the right choice for our family. (You can read why we homeschool.)
The only way I can be the mom God intended me to be and raise and teach the children he has entrusted to my care is to lean on him. Here are some Bible verses that carry me through this homeschool journey.
