Reading for pleasure? Because I want to read it, not because I need to preview it for school lessons? I can still do that?
In my childhood, I could often be found curled up somewhere, engrossed in a good book. I know exactly where my book-loving girls get it. But finding the time now to read for pleasure can be a challenge.
It seems odd that a homeschool mom would have difficulty finding time to read. We should be teaching our children to read and to love to read. But the demands on our time make it difficult to read as much as we may want.
It is important for us to be reading and setting the example for our children that we read not only to learn, but for pleasure as well. Here are a couple of ways I find time to add a few extra moments of reading into my week.
